Overview

Responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, testing, documenting, and implementing software applications or modifications to existing software while establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.

 

This ITS Analyst replaces a position on a small team supporting several non-clinical, business applications including Infor (financials, materials, HR, and payroll management), API (time and attendance, staff scheduling, business analytics), GemPay (point of sale solutions in gift shops and cafeterias), and Esker (AP automation, faxing), among others.  The role is focused on supporting IT solutions for business departments including Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Materials Management, Staffing, and Payroll, among others.  Applicants should have great interpersonal and analytical skills, with a technical background.  Successful candidates will have proficiencies in aforementioned platform brands and technologies, including MS SQL, PGP, Crystal, batch, PowerShell, IPA, and Infor OS and are preferred.  Responsible for analyzing, designing, coding, testing, documenting, and implementing software applications or modifications to existing software while establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Provides application software development services and ongoing maintenance / technical support for IT systems, typically in a defined project.
  • Develops program logic for new application or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
  • Gathers requirements, designs applications, and documents detailed specifications to maintain and support IT applications.
  • Validates and confirms new or changed functionalities to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Maintains system security ensuring patient and company information confidentiality.
  • Designs, builds, analyzes work flow and redesigns IT applications.
  • Analyzes requirements, maintains, tests, and integrates application components.
  • Tests new and changed application functionalities.
  • Demonstrates ability to organize and lead meetings effectively.
  • May serve as lead on small projects.
  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.
  • Contributes to process improvement.
  • Provides support to customers and coworkers for problems and issues reported through the IT Service Management system (ITSM).
  • Liaise with customers, other IT staff and vendors for design, planning, implementation and problem resolution using effective communication and appropriate follow-up
  • Documents and maintains accurate records of work performed within the ITSM system.
  • Maintains knowledge of the latest developments in information technology, especially as pertains to healthcare.
  • Provides availability for "on-call" emergency solution support and other after-hours support duties as assigned by ITS Management.
  • Sets and maintains goals, timelines and commitments, demonstrating proven attention to detail and high level of organization and accuracy.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in business, IT, or healthcare-related field required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or healthcare-related field preferred
  • Certification/experience in related software or platform technologies related to position preferred
  • One year of experience in IT and/or operations experience related to the position, two years preferred
