Responsible for the provision of operational support (computers and associated equipment) for education activities (including simulation) and events and updating and maintaining learning management systems.
Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.
Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required.
Promotes a culture of process improvement by participating in unit/department based programs that support the system’s process improvement goals.
Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Assists NPD staff in resolving simple and complex computer hardware and software related problems.
Assists instructors with coordinating and maintaining set up and operations of simulation; obtains supplies and equipment as needed for instructors.
Assists team members in keeping the learning management system up-to-date (class build and event scheduling, attendance crediting, and other activities that support the team).
Conducts simulations and/or serves as an audiovisual recording operator by testing and running scenarios.
Installs or coordinates the installation of equipment.
Maintains operational readiness of all classroom and simulation equipment, including computer hardware, task trainers, manikins, and A/V systems.
Conducts routine equipment maintenance, inventory updates, and software updates.
Troubleshoots simulators, multimedia and computer equipment utilizing equipment manuals or manufacturer support services.
Maintains record of repairs.
Maintains an adequate inventory of simulation equipment and supplies.
Participates in community outreach/networking opportunities including tours of the learning and simulation center and participating in public relations activities.
Provides Elsevier Performance Manager end user support assisting with resolution of simple to complex problems.
Assists in the development of user training guides or job aids for Elsevier Performance Manager end users.
Associate degree in computer science or related field
1-2 years of recent experience implementing computer hardware and software solutions
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher
Experience with A/V equipment operation and troubleshooting
Experience with eLearning course authoring tools preferred
