  • Overview

    Responsible for assembling, delivering & retrieving patient meals.

    Responsibilities

    • Safety
      • Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.
    • Record Keeping
      • Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required.
    • Process Improvement
      • Promotes a culture of process improvement by participating in unit/department based programs that supports the system’s process improvement goals.
      • Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.
    • Role Specific Responsibilities
      • Responsible for assembling, delivering & retrieving patient meals.
      • Prepares meals using approved food sanitation practices.
      • Delivers and retrieves trays using required patient identifiers in all interactions.
      • Adjusts meals to meet the needs of the patient while following doctor's orders.
      • Enters and reports cash transactions.
      • Follows established portion control guidelines when serving food and beverages.
      • Keeps all work areas adequately stocked with food, condiments, beverages and serviceware.
      • Maintains clean work area and follows all safety and sanitation guidelines.
      • Washes dishes and utensils using approved methods.
      • Sweeps and mops floors using approved methods.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Foodhandler's Certification required
