$16.80/hr minimum - $25.20/hr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

Responsible for assisting the Registered Pharmacist and fills medications.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities
o Checks, restocks and delivers medications.
o Processes charges, credits and deposits.
o Sends and checks drug wholesaler’s order.
o Prepares unit dose medications checked by pharmacist.
o Enters physicians’ medication orders into the computer.
o Assists pharmacists with out-patient prescriptions.
o Reconciles the medication administration record in the computer.
o Specialized areas, such as (but not limited to) Information Technology, Medication reconciliation, or Purchasing: Maintain competencies and skills in assigned area(s).
o Participates in work assignments at other SIH facilities

Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent


Licenses and Certificatio
Illinois Pharmacy Technician License

Certified Pharmacy Technician
