  • Responsible for developing, implementing, updating, and maintaining financial management information systems (FMIS)

 

 

63,980.00/yr minimum - 95,977.00/yr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

Responsibilities

Job Roles

Safety

  • Manages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.

Record Keeping

  • Maintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required.

Process Improvement

  • Promotes a culture of process improvement by participating in unit/department based programs that supports the system’s process improvement goals.
  • Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams as needed.

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Conduct training, user guidelines, and documentation to promote understanding of the Workday ecosystem.
  • Serves as a resource to managers and staff.
  • Administers FMIS processes, maintenance, set-up and testing.
  • Supports users directly and indirectly through education, collaborative problem resolution, file analysis and maintenance.
  • Develop applications to meet specific business needs.
  • Serves as system administrator to manage and maintain assigned systems.
  • Serves as architect and strategist overseeing tasks completed by other financial management users.
  • Focus on research, architecting solutions and advising/consulting with functional business leaders and program owners.
  • Present data to all levels of leadership as needed.
  • Write and create reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools.
  • Perform configuration of Workday business processes, troubleshoot issues within the system, and implement quarterly Workday system updates effectively.
  • Security Administrator in Workday and provide necessary security for system users to financial management functions.
  • Coordinates Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) requests with vendors, IT, and Materials Validates trading partner, and that file format conforms to agreed-upon standards.
  • Maintains documentation of FMIS integrations, and processes.
  • Demonstrates advanced understanding of internal control risk and establishes and develops disciplines, sign off points and best practices ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or IT
  • Master’s degree preferred

 

Licenses and Certification

  • HFMA Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI) preferred
  • Workday Core Certification preferred
  • Additional Workday Certifications related to financial area functions preferred

  

Experience and Skills

  • Technical Experience: 4 years experience in IT or FMIS function.
  • Healthcare Accounting experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated strength with advanced Excel formulas and macros.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, logical problem solving skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to adapt to high-pressure environments periodically.
